Safety First

At MIELKE, safety is our number one and most important priority. We strive to exemplify safety excellence in everything that we do. We not only empower, but also expect our employees to make safety the most important consideration in every task that we perform. We train our team to proactively identify risks, to pre-plan for safe operations and to draw on any necessary resources so that our work is executed safely. We have internal safety experts on staff including an OSHA Master Trainer and we engage third party safety professionals for additional expertise and outside audit of our operations.
All of our employee training initiatives include a safety focus. We also strive to integrate safety into our culture and our corporate value system. New MIELKE team members receive a thorough safety orientation and all employees are OSHA 10- hour certified. Field Supervisors, Project Managers and operations leaders are all OSHA 30- hour certified. Additionally we offer regular continuing education programs focused on safety training. Project leaders are charged with beginning each shift with a thorough review of the planned work tasks, potential risks, safety precautions and any required resources with the crews.
